COOKIE POLICY
What we store on your device and why.
This Cookie Policy explains how Dandi Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and browser local storage on dandistudio.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. We use a cookie-free, privacy-first analytics tool (see Section 7) that does not collect personal data.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. We also use browser local storage — a similar technology that stores data in your browser rather than sending it to our server with every request.
2. COOKIES WE SET
This site no longer sets any cookies. During the previous A/B test period (5–19 April 2026), two functional cookies were used for testing purposes; those have now expired and are no longer set.
3. BROWSER LOCAL STORAGE
We also use browser local storage (not cookies) for the following item:
| Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ds_cookie_consent |
ESSENTIAL | Remembers whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies, so we do not show the consent banner on every visit. | Until you clear browser data |
Note: during a previous A/B test (5–19 April 2026), a second local storage
item (ds_sid) mirrored an anonymous session ID. That test has concluded and this
item is no longer set.
4. COOKIE CATEGORIES
ESSENTIAL COOKIES / STORAGE
Required for the site to function correctly (e.g. storing your consent preference). These cannot be switched off. They are set only in response to actions you take, such as clicking the consent banner.
FUNCTIONAL COOKIES
Improve your experience but are not strictly necessary. This site does not currently set any
functional cookies. A previous A/B test (5–19 April 2026) used two functional cookies
(ds_ab, ds_sid); the test has concluded and these are no longer set.
5. LEGAL BASIS
We set the ds_cookie_consent local storage item on the basis of
legitimate interest — it is necessary to remember your choice and avoid
showing the banner on every page load.
During the A/B test period, ds_ab and ds_sid were set on the basis
of consent (clicking “Accept All” in the cookie banner). These are no longer set,
as the test has concluded.
6. HOW TO MANAGE OR DELETE COOKIES
You can control cookies at any time through your browser settings. Guidance for major browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
To clear local storage specifically for this site, use your browser’s developer tools (Application → Local Storage → dandistudio.com) and delete the keys listed above.
Note: deleting ds_cookie_consent will cause the cookie banner to reappear on your
next visit.
7. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
We use Umami Analytics to measure visitor behaviour. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personal data — see our Privacy Policy for details. Aside from this, we do not use any third-party advertising or social media cookies. Should this change, this policy will be updated before any such cookies are set, and your consent will be sought where required by law.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may set its own cookies or collect
request data in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
We load fonts over a preconnect to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
